Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, said that Commemoration Day is a national occasion to honour the courage and sacrifices of the UAE's heroes, whose legacy remains a beacon of pride for future generations. In a statement marking the annual Commemoration Day on 30th November, Sheikh Saud emphasised the nation's enduring commitment to remembering those who laid down their lives to defend the UAE's security and sovereignty. Reflecting on the significance of the day, His Highness praised the martyrs' selflessness, noting that their bravery and dedication have set an unparalleled example of devotion to the UAE. "The sacrifices of our heroes stand as a testament to their unwavering commitment to protecting the dignity and security of the UAE. Their names are etched in the annals of history, and their legacy inspires us to continue building a nation that upholds the values they fought to protect," he added. His Highness also paid tribute to the families of the martyrs, recognising their strength and resilience, adding that the martyrs' sacrifices will forever remain a source of inspiration for all Emiratis.
