Humaid Al Nuaimi receives ‘Personality of the Year Award’ at Annual Health Awards.

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, received, with the attendance of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, the "Personality of the Year Award," during the Annual Health Awards, which was sponsored by the Dubai Health Authority, DHA. Sheikh Humaid received the award in appreciation of his accomplishments and his ongoing support for the UAE’s health and scientific research sector, as well as for his support for Emirati women and their work. In its third cycle, the Annual Health Awards are the biggest and most prestigious healthcare awards in the region. He received the award while meeting an official DHA delegation, which was led by Humaid Al Qutami, Director-General of the DHA, Thumbay Moideen, President of Thumbay Group, and a number of DHA’s executive directors. After Sheikh Humaid received the award’s armour and certificate, the delegation expressed its pride at meeting him while praising his efforts to achieve local and international scientific, health and cultural development, as well as his visions and his support for the country’s sustainable development. Sheikh Humaid welcomed the advancement of the national health sector, especially in Dubai while commending the DHA’s comprehensive development strategy, and its efforts to improve the quality of life of the Emirati community. "We are proud of the local and regional appreciation attained by Emirati women, as well as their excellent performance," he said while praising their role in representing their country in international forums, supported by the wise leadership. He added that award is helping to create a positive and competitive environment for growth and creativity, which will encourage talented and exceptional minds, particularly in the area of medicine, whose development is based on innovations and discoveries. Sheikh Humaid listened to a summary by Al Qutami of the "Health Sector Development Strategy in Dubai 2016/2021" and its strategic goals, which are linked to the country’ national agenda, and aim to enhance the UAE’s stature and international reputation in the health sector. Launched by DHA and the Thumbay Group, the Health Awards aims to acknowledge and appreciate exceptional contributions in the fields of healthcare from across the region.
