The Department of Civil Defense in Umm Al Quwain has decided to raise the level of readiness to deal with all weather conditions experienced by the UAE and in anticipation of any emergency that may occur. The Department of Civil Defense urged all citizens and residents not to approach hazardous areas, flood paths, valleys, lowlands, beaches, sea entry, and non-presence in the open spaces, as a result of the instability of the weather. "Close cooperation with the strategic partners of the Department and cooperation with the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority in Umm Al Quwain will contribute to enhancing preparedness to deal with emergencies," said Lt. Col. Salem Hamad bin Hamdah, Director of Civil Defense Department in Umm Al Quwain.
