Umm Al Quwain Municipality completes its preparations for Eid Al Adha

(WAM) - Umm Al Quwain Municipality has completed its preparations for Eid Al Adha by intensifying the work of its various departments. In this regard, the Municipality announced the processing of the new livestock market, which was recently opened in Al-Abraq area on Sheikh Zayed Road near Al-Ittihad Bridge after removing the old market beside the fish market. The new market includes a slaughterhouse that meets the needs of consumers and traders as well as a veterinarian to detect livestock before and after slaughter, said Mithaa Jasim Shafi, Director of the Environment Protection and Public Safety Sector. She pointed out that the implementation of awareness campaigns and control on the barns to ensure the safety of livestock and non-infected infectious diseases before and during the Eid al-Adha and will be provided umbrellas and car parks to display livestock near the fish market in the emirate to facilitate the public. Maitha Shafi confirmed the readiness of the slaughterhouses to accommodate the slaughter of the sacrifices through the processing and modernization and increase the number of workers in order to create the appropriate conditions for slaughter and make sure that the sacrificial animal meets the requirements of public health and safety. She pointed out that the veterinarians, technicians and workers who are on the premises will be present throughout the Eid days from 6 am to 7 pm indicating that the identification cards were allocated to the prisoners and their own uniforms, warning at the same time members of the community of the danger of relying on the trampers and slaughter on the roads because they do not observe cleanliness And do not comply with safety requirements. She pointed out that the inspection campaigns on food shops and sweets shops will be intensified to make sure they comply with health requirements.
