Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Iryani called on United States to classify Houthi militias and deal with them as a terrorist group as they committed all crimes against Yemeni citizens. Al-Iryani described the crimes of the militias as genocide against the defenseless and innocent civilians. During his meeting with US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Toller, Al-Iryani noted that "the Houthi militias have been working since their coup against legitimacy to mobilize a whole generation in their areas of control with terrorist and aggressive ideas."
