The Israeli shelling and incursion into the Gaza Strip led to seven Palestinian martyrs after clashes between a special Israeli security force and members of Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, which killed an Israeli officer. The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that "seven Palestinians were killed and seven others were wounded during separate Israeli attacks east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip." Palestinian sources said that the martyrs were killed after gunmen fired in an unknown vehicle, opened fire on a group of Qassam, near the area of Fakhari east of the city of Khan Yunis, coinciding with the bombing of intensive aircraft from the occupation. Palestinian factions vowed to respond to the Israeli crime, where the military wings of the factions announced the state of "public aversion" to all its forces and elements in preparation for any emergency with the occupation army.
